The Sayre Fire, the most devastating of the recent brush fires started on Friday, November 14th in the hills above Sylmar. The fire destroyed over 500 residences and burned through our repeater site on Contractor's Peak. Thanks to the efforts of our fire fighters, the transmitter site is still standing and remains in operation.
